Organization Overview
Pillars Community Health is a nonprofit provider of whole-person care serving children, adolescents, adults, and families across the western and southwestern suburbs of Chicago. Our continuum of care includes medical and dental services, behavioral health and substance use treatment, 24/7 mental health crisis support, domestic and sexual violence services, and specialized programs for children, teens, and families. Services are provided in our health centers and community locations as well as in homes, schools, and other community-based settings.
Behavioral Health
Pillars Community Health provides therapy, psychiatry, peer support, care navigation, community-based services, employment support, and specialized programs for children, adults, and families.
Substance Use Services
Services include assessment, outpatient treatment, counseling, recovery support, and medication-assisted recovery, with care tailored to each person’s needs and goals.
Mental Health Crisis Services
Our crisis team provides 24/7 support by phone and, when appropriate, through mobile crisis response. Anyone may call—including the person needing support, a family member, friend, school, first responder, or community partner.
Mental health includes a person’s emotional, psychological, and social well-being. All of us are on a mental health journey, whether we are experiencing emotional wellness or symptoms of a mental illness. Through office-based, home-based, and community-based therapy, children, adults, and families can learn to improve their overall mental health and functioning.
We know that home is not a safe place for everyone. Having to remain at home with an abuser can create a higher risk of abuse. Our Domestic and Sexual Violence staff continue to serve clients through our 24-hour hotlines (domestic violence: 708-485-5254, sexual assault: 708-482-9600), court advocacy, and counseling. Residential clients have been moved to alternate safe housing due to social distancing requirements.
