Aspire works alongside people with disabilities across Chicagoland to build greater possibilities for learning, meaningful employment, independence, connection, and safe places to call home. Our work includes Community Homes, Life Enrichment opportunities, and hands-on Employment Training Programs. Across each area, we focus on helping people build confidence, strengthen everyday skills, form meaningful relationships, connect with their communities, and pursue goals that matter to them.

Aspire is a leader in comprehensive services for children and adults with developmental disabilities and their families. Its innovative programs provide individualized support that helps each participant successfully achieve their goals. Aspire’s mission is to support the successes of children and adults with developmental disabilities, strengthen their families, and build embracing communities.

Life Enrichment

Our Life Enrichment in-person academies offer adults with disabilities engaging opportunities to learn, create, connect, and take part in their communities. Held in a welcoming daytime setting, our academies are designed to inspire confidence, foster friendships, and support lifelong learning for adults with disabilities. People can explore arts, music, fitness, technology, daily living skills, community outings, and more, all while building friendships and confidence.

Job Support

Our Job Support program prepares adults with disabilities who want meaningful, competitive employment by helping them explore career interests, develop resumes, practice applications and interviews, and build confidence in the workplace. Ongoing coaching helps people continue learning, growing, and succeeding after they are hired.

Employment Training Program

Our Employment Training Program prepares young adults with disabilities for careers in warehouse/distribution and food services through hands-on instruction, real-world job experiences, workplace skill-building, and a guaranteed paid internship after training. The program is designed to connect talented job seekers with employers looking for dependable, prepared team members.

Community Homes

Our Community Homes are welcoming places where adults with disabilities can build independence, friendships, and a true sense of belonging. With caring, trained support professionals alongside them, people share everyday experiences, strengthen life skills, and foster personal growth.
